Kate has been practising yoga for 17 years and teaching for 12. She has a BWY Diploma through Yogacampus and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She also spent 15 years practising and teaching Thai Yoga Massage in Asia and the United States and holds a Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology.
Kate dedicated nearly ten years to ‘private study’ with her teacher Sarah Litton who helped her through various structural problems and awakened a self- healing practice informed by the relationship between structure and energy. These weekly sessions, which Kate shared with her husband, had a profound effect on her understanding of structure and energy and the importance of a constant guide in the unfolding process that is yoga.
Kate currently teaches on Triyoga’s yoga teacher training programme and taught on the Yoga Therapy Diploma and Foundation courses previously offered by Yogacampus and the Yoga Biomedical Trust. She was also one of the founding practitioners at the Health Equation, formerly in Harley Street, where she worked in a clinical setting seeing clients referred from osteopaths.
Continuing to explore the relationship between structure, energy and mind, Kate is currently embarking on training in Embodied Relational Therapy with body psychotherapist, Nick Totton, and has nearly ten years’ experience herself of psychotherapeutic work in conjunction with yoga practice.
